The next day, Hiroyuki and Izumi go for a walk. Hiroyuki tells Izumi that he has a new friend, a boy. Izumi tells him that boys are "kind of idiotic" and that "idiots are lovable," but Hiroyuki disagrees, saying that "boys are unthinking animals" and "all kinds of stuff just like us." Izumi asks Hiroyuki if he went home with her, and Hiroyuki replies that he did, but that he is not sure if he will back down now that they have become friends.
