The next morning, the king will issue a decree declaring that Ming is no longer welcome in the kingdom. Ming, however, refuses to sign the decree, saying that he will kill the emperor himself. The two men part ways, and Ming declares that he has "lost his mind" for so long. He tells the king that he plans to kill the queen and father a child.
