The next morning, the two men go to the pavilion to change into their new clothes. They find that the pavilion has been abandoned for the past ten years, and the only clue they have is that it was once the home of a man named Lansinang, who is rumored to have caused the death of his mother when she was alive. When they enter the main hall, they find that someone has been there, but they are not able to find any clues in the room. They go to investigate further, and discover that the woman they were looking for is in fact the daughter of the man they are looking for, and that she is beautiful and clean, with an "illusion of lotus" under her eyes. The two men are surprised to learn that the girl they saw in the pavilion is actually the daughter they are trying to find.
