The servant pretends to remember everything that happened in the mansion, and the servant tells him that he will pretend to remember nothing since he is nothing. He asks the servant if he is satisfied with how he handled the loss of the goods, and he replies that he is. He feels disgusted by the effeminate appearance of the servant. He imagines that when he meets the servant, he will be on the side of the majority and despise the "freak" like him. He will convince the servant to change his ways, and then he will console the servant and persuade him not to care about the opinions of others.
