In this chapter, we learn that Cai Zhen has written a letter to his master, saying that he wants Cai Zhen to kill Lian. Cai Zhen denies it, but he does admit that he was the one who drugged and raped her. He then dismembered and re-plotted the crime scene to make sure Cai Zhen would be caught. He tells us that he and Cai Zhen grew up in "lust city" and that she was "not a friend, but a family." Cai Zhen is furious with Cai Zhen for killing Lian. He says that he took Cai Zhen as a friend and never judged him by the cover of his kindness. Cai is furious at Cai Zhen and tells him to bring Cai Zhen's guilt to him and "f* ck off." He tells Cai Zhen that his family died for him and that he will never leave Cai Zhen even if Cai Zhen tries to kill him. When Cai Zhen asks Cai Zhen why Cai Zhen stopped lying to him, Cai Zhen tells him that once Cai Zhen knows what Cai Zhen did, he would cut Cai Zhen off
