Now that she's calmed down, the monster is ready to attack. The monster tells Huck that he's here to protect his sister from the bear, and that he can tell where she is because of the special magic tool that the monster has brought with him. Huck asks if his father's soul is still in the bottle, and the monster says he doesn't know, but that his father gave him the magic tool and the sense-glove when he was a young hunter. Huck says he'll take care of his sister, and he tells Huck to head to the "misty forest" if he ever has a crisis that he cannot solve.
