In this chapter, we learn that Edgar's magic is still working, and that he's been bitten by a vampire. He begs Edgar to drink his blood so that he can recover his strength. He also tells Edgar that he is his brother and that it would hurt his heart if he were to kill him. Edgar says that they have to leave the vampire's pool right now, because it's dangerous there. He tells Edgar to put his blood on his mouth, but Edgar says he'll have to put it beside his mouth again, since he already has it on his body. Edgar thinks that's a good idea, because he thinks his blood is more attractive than his sister's.
