In this chapter, the narrator goes to the embassy in order to seek help when he's in trouble abroad. He's still in shock from his trip to Europe, and he needs to find a job. He finds a job as a street performer, but he still needs to get a ticket to New York. The narrator introduces himself as a "sugar daddy" , and tells the young man that it was all his fault that he had to travel halfway around the world to find him. The young man says that he'll swear at him when he arrives in New York, and the narrator promises to do the same when he gets back to Europe.
