The next morning, Miss Jessel arrives at the brothel. She is dressed as a woman, and she tells everyone that she is the one who invited Jessel to the brothel the night before. When Jessel asks her why she is dressed in a woman's clothes, she tells him that she has disguised herself as a man and hid in a brothel.
