In this chapter, we learn that Lin Xuan has made up his mind to marry Cai Ling. He has decided to take the skeleton fan back from Cai Ling, who has not yet come to see him. Lin tries to explain to Cai Ling that he is not going to kill her, but he does want to cut off their relationship. He tells her that she can live a normal and happy life with her. Cai Ling tells him that someone has entered her room and that she is being unreasonable. She tells him she is the girl he pretended to be and that he cannot make himself a real girl. She feels hot and wants to leave.
