The scene opens with a rustle of the ancient grass. It's 1,000 years ago, and the flowers are blooming. The narrator tells the audience that he wishes he could be a part of the story again. He tells us that the Queen of Heaven has been looking for her daughter, and that she is said to be in love with her husband, the great yisheng. He asks the narrator if he can go to the death realm with him. He says he'll do so on the day when the Queen only visits the afterlife. He wants to know if the Queen is like him, and if he has the same kind of feelings for her as he does. He confesses that he's infatuated with the Queen and wants to follow her, but he doesn't dare cross the line.
