About This Chapter
In this scene, the Governess pretends to be dead. She is talking to a girl in class. The Governess tells the girl that she is a "death" and that she will be a "superstar" in the future. The girl, however, is not sure what to make of this news. She tells him to get out of her sight. She also tells him that she has been invited to a dinner party by a man who she does not know. She asks him to invite her back to the dinner party, but he does not want to do so. He tells her that he will get her a milk tea the next day, but that he has no contact with the man. He asks her to send him a message, but she refuses. He then asks her if she has a relationship with him, and she says that she does. He says that he is popular in the "death realm" as well, and that he would like to take her back. He also tells her to stop talking about trifles in her life, and to stop being a part of the "triumph" of the school. He wants to know why she did not send him the message. She says that it was because she was afraid to send away her phone. She then asks him if she likes him too, and he replies that he does. She explains that she wants to send his reply "loud and clear" before she met the "great death" . She goes on to say that she needs to find out more about the memory of her father, who was locked away in the Tower of London.
