In this chapter, we learn that the royal family uses a perfumer to make all the royal fragrances. The family that makes the perfumes is called the "jae" family, and the family that uses the "seo" family makes perfumes that kill people. The jae family makes scents that can kill people, but as time passes, the family grows stronger. The lords begin protecting the family because they can "get rid of enemies" without having to leave any evidence. The seo family, on the other hand, makes "fragrances that can touch someone they shouldnt lay their hands on" . So, the seo family is responsible for killing the previous king and putting all of the blame on them. The next day, she cried so badly that she was escorted out of the palace.
