Back at the palace, Dr. Bledsoe is trying to figure out what's going on. He's not allowed to speak to the King, and he doesn't know why the King suddenly ordered him to do a test on his son. He asks the doctor if he can speak with the King. The doctor says he can't, because he's forbidden to talk to anyone. He says he'll come to see the King during the night, and the doctor tells him that his son is doing well, and that the test is going well. He thanks the doctor for all his hard work, and says that he came to tell the King about the test results. The Doctor says that the King loves him, so why isn't anyone there to help him? The doctor asks the woman to knock on the door, and she does. It's the court lady, who's trying to get back to the palace. She's so upset that she flinches.
