The chapter opens with a flashback to the vampire's first encounter with Harry. The flashback shows Harry's reaction to the sight of the pretty young lady. Harry is shocked to find that the lady is actually a vampire. He is also shocked to learn that she is not a child, but a beautiful lady who has just arrived in the city. Harry wonders why Harry was so happy to see her. Harry explains that Harry told him that she was pretty and that he would need to get glasses so he could enjoy the party. Harry asks if he is allowed to stay in such places, and Harry replies that there are other people who know about vampires, including kings and prime ministers. Harry tells Harry that whenever a human arrives to find out about their existence, they must be erased from their memories. Harry says that the vampire government will provide a lot of plasma to keep the vampire population hidden and out of harm's way. Harry wants to go check on the goods, but Harry tells him that his partner has to stay with him. Harry worries that Harry will not be able to see the contents of the bottle, but he assures Harry that he will be fine on his own
