In this chapter, we're introduced to a new game: Black Jack. This is a variation on the card game known as poker, in which two cards are dealt to one player and the other player receives two cards from the other. In Black Jack, each player gets two cards to play with, and each player has four options to choose from. The first option is to hit the first card, the second is to stay after the second card, and the third is to split the second and fourth cards. The fourth card is the one that the dealer gives to the player who is farthest away from 21. This means that if the player is far away from 21, he or she can't play with any more cards. In other words, the player has to commit to playing with one more card if he wants to win. The dealer will give the player the fourth card if it's higher than 21, and the player will have to choose between the two cards if he wishes to stay close to 21. Black Jack is a lot like poker in that you have to be brave to play the game, but losing is not a bad thing. It's just that you've got to win some time before the dealer gets the other card.
