In this chapter, we learn that Dinah is trying to figure out a way to beat the girl. She's betting on how many balls she can drop in a row. Dinah doesn't have a strategy, but she does have a hunch that she'll win. She figures that if she can figure out her opponent's strategy, she can use it to her advantage. Dinah's a little worried that she might lose, but then she figures out that she has a better chance of winning if she knows how to play the game.
