"Puppy love old" The narrator tells us that Ani has matured a lot in the past few years, and he's managed to make a new friend in Shmoop. He asks Ani to send him a text message to check out what Shmoo and Roxane have been up to lately. Ani says that she's running a fever, and she thinks that Shmoo has blackmailed Roxane into coming to see him. She's sure that Roxane is in love with Shmoo, and Ani thinks that's just another ploy in her "twisted game" of seduction. She tells Ani that she just said to Shmoo to quit flirting with her. Ani thinks Shmoo is a "big dumb idiot" who's "fun" to tease. She says she'll never let Roxane fool her again. Ani tells her that she was supposed to sleep, but she couldn't sleep, so she asks Roxane to tell her what happened. Roxane says that Ani laughed at her art, which means that she and Shmoo are in love. Ani can't believe it, but then she realizes that she told Roxane something horrible to him, and that Ani's smile really hit the spot.
