The chapter opens with a flashback to the previous chapter, in which Hiroyuki's teacher, Miyuki, tells Hiroyuki that Miyuki has rejected him. Miyuki tells the teacher that he does not want to date Hiroyuki because of his illness, and Miyuki says that he is not planning to do so because he is afraid of losing Miyuki. The teacher tells Miyuki that the festival preparations are tacky, but Miyuki points out that he has always been a bad person, but he has had to do things to keep Miyuki near him. He says that it is too late for him to build a relationship with other people, and that he wants to continue to live with Miyuki
