The scene opens with a conversation between Su and Ming. Su tells Ming that she is going to the party on behalf of her lover, who is not at the party. Ming is surprised to see Su there, and Ming tells her that she looks like a woman of the long-teng group. Ming tells Su that he is testing her against Keman, comparing her to a woman who is pale in comparison. Ming says that he does not need Su to help him decorate the cake, as she is not strong enough to do so.
