When the scene opens, Zillah is in the middle of a conversation with her sister, who has just returned from a trip to China. She is worried about her sister's safety, and wonders if anyone is there to help her. Zillah tells her sister that she has lost her job, and that she should ignore her. She tells Zillah that she almost forgot about their plan, but then she realizes that she forgot to take off her cover. She begs Zillah to stop threatening her, and to stop using her husband's name to threaten her and her sister. She says that she does not know if Zillah will still want her, but she knows that he hates threatening her.
