The next morning, Mr. Su and Mr. Long are back at the table. They're talking about how they're going to get married. Su says he's going to marry the liu first, since he can't stand the idea of living on the streets with his family. He's also worried that she's just going to try to act like a nice girl. He doesn't blame her for being so arrogant, but he thinks she should be ashamed of herself for being such a good girl. The two men go off to find a place to sit. Su notices that the lady next to him is sitting next to the woman next to Long. He assumes that the woman isn't good enough for Long and that she likes him. He wonders why he feels this way about her.
