In this chapter, we learn that the "Terra" is inside the body of Desdemona, and that the only way for it to be returned is by killing her. She begs him to be her "one to kill me" . She tells him that she loves the world, but that she doesn't want her life taken away by anyone else. She promises that she will stay by his side until the end of the story.
