The narrator tells us that he's a hypocrite for falling in love with the girl. He's supposed to be a normal guy. He doesn't know why he fell for her, but he knows it's wrong to fall in love. He says he'll keep searching for his soul even if he dies, even if it means chasing after her for the rest of his life.
