In this chapter, we learn that the master has already left, and that he will not be able to give his daughter what she wants. The narrator explains that he is grateful for the young master's survival, but that he does not plan to kill him. He says that he was planning to teach him a lesson, but the master erased all of his hard work. The young master was involved in the organization as a young and greedy man, and he did not want to leave as a loser, he just wanted to be a part of it. The heavens must have been kind to keep all of them alive, the narrator says.
