The next day, the narrator tells us that he's not in love with Anqi. He's just not interested in her. He tells her that he warned her about Anqi's cheating, and that she should be wary of him. He says that if she wants to cheat, she can find another man to cheat on, but she shouldn't do anything like this to him. The narrator says that he trusts Anqi, and he believes that Anqi still loves her. She's right, he says. He blames her for breaking the rules, but he doesn't want to pay for it. She may have a relationship, but it should't cause problems in her life. She actually read all of the comic books he drew, and she's nowhere near meeting his expectations
