About This Chapter
In this short scene, Sikes tries to convince Sikes to let him go. Sikes refuses to listen to his pleas, saying that he is outnumbered by the police and that he will not be beaten around the bush. He asks Sikes why he is asking him where his missing child is, and Sikes replies that Sikes is overreacting, since he did not expect a judge to "play dirty." Sikes tells Sikes that he should be on his way before "permanent damage" is done, since Sikes' brother was killed in the line of duty. He says that he has been busy, so he will be taking leave of Sikes
