In this short scene, Nok promises to become a lifelong friend of Kim's. Nok asks Kim what he wants, and Kim replies that he wants to remain a human and live as one, too. He says that he will leave behind his descendants, but that they too will become friends, since they too share the same bond. Kim asks what happened to the body of the dead baek, and Nok says that the owner of the body fell into the whirlpool back then, just as he suspected. He asks Kim why he is being so protective of his daughter, and he says that keeping her in his embrace is the only way to both of them. He tells Kim that his seal will soon break, so he will be able to get away from her.
