The narrator tells us that he's been seeing reapers all over the place, and that they're getting bigger and bigger. He's not sure what's wrong with the girl, but he can't help but wonder if she's being bullied or something. He decides that if he helps her, he'll get a reputation as being weird like he was last year, but the monster is huge, and once it latches on to him, he can be consumed by it, and self-destruct. The narrator is so freaked out that he runs out of the room.
