The Governess is surprised to receive a message from her daughter, who has just returned from a trip to Japan. She tells the Governess that she is very happy to have found out that her father has cheated on her mother. She also tells her that her mother and her father have split up, and that she will be returning to Japan with her father. She asks her father if he and his wife have ever met, and he says that they have not. She then tells him that she wants to know what happened to her friend, who had gotten a divorce from her father because he had cheated on his wife. He says that he did not do anything wrong, and she is happy that she has found out.
