The Governess confesses to the Governess that she needs to know what is going on with her brother-in-law. He has been avoiding her lately, and she doesn't know how to get him to come over to the festival. She's planning a date for the next day, but she's not ready to tell him what she thinks of him yet. She asks him if he has feelings for her, and he admits that he does, but that it's too much like what he's done before. He asks her what would change her mind, and if she promised to feel what he just said, what would that do? She says that they'll see each other right away, and that they have a deal. She tells him that she was flattered when he told her how she felt about him the other night. He says that he likes her so much that he knows they're on a date. He tells her that he made her cry once when they were kids, because he was popular with girls, and it was his fault that she got picked on. He's going to come and not come home again, he says, and yell at her.
