The narrator tells us that he and his friend, reita, are going to have their first Christmas together. He buys a present for her, puts on some makeup, and goes out to meet her boyfriend, Shurike, after work. He's bummed that he can't spend time with her, but he's happy that she's having a good time. He tells her that he heard about her boyfriend helping them out today, and he thinks he did her a favor by letting him hang out with him all day. He also tells her about his plan to sell some cakes, which she'll have to wait until the end of the day to buy. He says he'll be staying with her tonight, and that he'd like to tell his mom about it. The narrator says he knows better than anyone that Yusuke is a "great guy" . He jokes that he was just joking with all of Yusuke's rudeness all day long, and now that his shift is over, he wants to go out and have some fun.
