Later, sukeroku goes to the hospital to thank the nurses for taking care of him. He tells them that he's tired of making a living and wants to ask for a family name. He's got a family now, but it doesn't seem to be closed off to him. Aww, look at all the people in the hospital. They're all good people, and snatches his name, his accent, and his father's family name, but he wants his own family name . He wants to know what's bothering him, and the nurses refuse to leave him alone. They won't even let him lie down on the bed. . They don't care, though, because they're tired of suckin' up to him and treating him like a servant. They want him to stop staring at them all, and they want to buy him a treat. He says he'll take care of it, and then he starts to cry. He asks if he can tear down the yose, and if it's too worn out to stand on its own, and he says he can't let it fold on his watch. But then he tells us that he paid a visit to the trouble today, and that reminds him of the title of his book. He wonders if grandpa is going to quit his job at rakugo, and worries that if they hear him talking like that, they'll freak out. He also says that he hasn't missed the trouble since he came to stay at sikeroku. He apologizes for the intrusion,
