Miss saikawa tells Soji that they'll meet again after he graduates, and that she's always wanted to marry him. Soji says that he's tired of excuses to reject girls' invites, so he wants to marry her. He says that it was tiring to make excuses to not accept the girls' offers, and now he feels sad because he likes her so much. He thanks her for accepting him, though he admits that he was "full of faults" when she accepted him. He tells her that she is his "one teacher for life," and that he will be her "lover" for the rest of his life.
