Soichiro tells Soji that he came to the marriage meeting because he was a teacher and he was there to help the other students. Soji says that he is sorry that he did not want to be a teacher, but that he was saved because of his courage. Soichiro thanks Soji for his help, and says that even though he cannot do anything, he is glad that she is quitting teaching.
