He tells her that he doesn't have a lot to offer, but he'll do his best to help her out. He also says that naiad is popular among the people of the kingdom, and he'd like to be the next king. He says that power is sent from the king to the people, and the people have their own opinions about how best to govern themselves. He adds that the snake was just a "pete's" , and that it could have been a "poi snake" . Okay, now that we know who the snake is, we can figure out who's trying to kidnap the Titan and get his inheritance. We learn that eustil and his men were planning to kill the Titan in order to deprive him of his inheritance rights, which is why he was so upset. He wants to find out who the culprit is, so he suggests that they hold a wedding ceremony to prove that they've found the culprit.
