In this chapter, we learn that Dr. Bledsoe has arrived at the hospital. He's there to find out what's going on with the vampire. He wants to know why the vampire is there, and the answer is that he's on his way to find a cure for the plague. The vampire, however, is not interested in finding a cure; he wants to kill the man who's been torturing him. He also wants to get revenge on the vampire's wife, who has bitten him. The doctor is horrified at the idea of killing the vampire, but the vampire doesn't care. He just wants revenge on his wife.
