Ten years have passed. The devils have attacked the clan again. The eldest disciple has been assigned to protect the clan from the devils, and he is confident that he can do so better than the other disciples. He tells his master that even if he were to lose his life, he would still be able to avenge the deaths of his family. The two men agree to retreat to the northwest.
