In this chapter, we learn that Ling-Gong is a member of the Quing-Tan clan, which is one of the four major ethnic groups in China. He has come to find the tomb of his father, who was killed by Lin-Langtian, the son of the founder of the lin-Lantian clan. He is also here to find out if he can surpass Lin-Langtian in the quest for Nirvana. He tells us that he is not talented, but he is determined to overcome his difficulties. He says that when he saw his father humiliated by his father's son, he swore that he would never forgive the bastard. Now that he knows how to defeat Lin-Lintian, he is confident that he can do so. He also says that if he helps him find the spirit of the demon weasel, then he will help him. He then tells us about the other four major clans, including the wang, qin, and huangpu, who are also present at the tomb. He thinks that they are all very impressive. He smells a beautiful fragrance coming from the sky, and he thinks that the goddess is there.
