The chapter opens with a flashback to the events of the previous chapter, in which Lin-Lung explains that he and Don Juan had agreed to advance to the fifth rank of the kingdom in exchange for the underground treasures of the palace. The flashback shows that Don Juan was able to get a nirvana pellet, but that he did not take any of them. He is worried that the corpse has caught up with them, and he is afraid that the yellow chicken will soon catch them up. He tells Don Juan that they should kill the trash along the way so that they can get to the kingdom's exit. The yellow chicken is stronger than the entire kingdom, so they should fight it together if the situation becomes worse. Don Juan, however, is not so sure. He says that they are free to escape at any time they want, and that the only way to do so is to get away at full speed.
