In this short scene, we are introduced to a new character, the "spirit sword sovereign" , who is a member of the "chang family" . We learn that he is a disciple of Luo yun, the current master of the palace, and that he has killed three people in the palace's inner gate the last two nights. Luo says that the three people who were killed in the first night were all his disciples, and he blames Luo for their deaths.
