In this chapter, the captain of the dorm is introduced. He tells the captain that he likes him very much, but that the young master never took the time to talk to him. The captain says that he can't believe that the master hasn't even sent a message to him, and that he's been hanging out with "pretty girls" . He also says that this young master is a "piece of work" , as he was trying to get an American exchange student to come to the school. He's a "very interesting person," the captain says, and the two of them have been "spacing out" every day. They're going to a train station after class, but the captain won't go because he doesn't want to leave the dorm. They look like siblings, he says, even though they don't look like brothers. He asks the captain to confess to him the person he likes, and he gives the captain a chance to do so.
