In this chapter, Dr. Duan tells us that he has sent men to look for Le Ling, who has disappeared from the city. He also informs us that the plague has gone out of the city and that Le Ling is gone. He tells Duan that if there is any good or bad in the world, he will explain it to his friend, the second son of the second king of China, who lives in the country of Hong Kong.
