The chapter opens in the office of the "perfect boss pervert" . It's the day after Valentine's Day, and the two of them have finally "crossed a line" and are "one gonna" , which is a fancy way of saying they're in love. The narrator is all, "I love you, ba-da-da." He's so happy, in fact, that he can't believe what he's just heard. He'd been dreaming about how much he loves her, and now he feels "so happy" that he wants to "imprint himself inside" of her, even deeper. He wants to be with her, but he doesn't know how to do it. He tells himself to "suck it up" and to "get used to this" before it's too late. He says he'll just take a bath, and then they'll get up and have some alone time. But he'd be lying if he said he didn't feel happy, so he tells himself that they've got plenty of time to get used to the whole thing. He asks if he can just go for a walk, and when he gets there, he finds that she's already taken a bath. She tells him to go ahead and take a nap, but then she tells him that she still hasn't "wrapped her head around" all of this. She says she'll probably tell him something about how he picked up her note to check her book, and that she wanted to give it back, so she looked inside and found it. She's sorry
