About This Chapter
The narrator tells us that she's sorry that her "perfect boss" has turned into a "pervert" . She's so embarrassed that she wants to "crawl into a hole" in the wall of the office. The narrator asks her to tell him more about what she thinks of her boss's behavior. She wants to know what he's been doing to her. He's licking her, she tells him, and she wants him to tell her what's happened. She doesn't know what to do, so she asks him to hold the piece of paper so she can talk to him. He tries to talk to her first, but she can't get it to move. He tells her to read the first page of the novel, which she does. She feels like her boss is touching her "the same way" as the protagonist in the novel. She tells him to "rub" her, but he won't do it. She says that she knows his fingers are delicate, but that they're not like the way she imagined them. She also tells him that she feels as if her body is being "stretched inside" by her boss. She makes obscene noises, and then she says that her body has become "so sensitive" that it's "perfect" for her to be touched like this. She asks her boss if he would like her to do anything, and he says that he'd like her "to do" whatever she wants. He asks her what she'd do if she were touched like that, and the narrator tells her that she has no idea what she would do.
