The chapter opens with a flashback to the day of the inauguration of Kishida's new office building. Kishida is in the middle of a meeting with the company's board of directors when he is interrupted by the sound of a slap on the wrist. He realizes that he is being humiliated by Kishida, and he resolves to take revenge. He resolves to build a home for himself and his family.
