The scene opens with Atsuko's lover, Hiroyuki, talking to Hiro's wife, Miike, about their love for one another. Miike tells Hiro that she loves him too, and Hiroyuki tells her that he loves her too, too. Hiroyuki and Miike argue about whether or not Miike should have sex with Hiro, but Miike says that she doesn't want to get into a fight with Hiro because she's afraid that he'll kill her. She tells Hiro not to worry, though, because she knows that Hiro will kill her if he finds out that she has sex with him.
