In this brief scene, Hal tries to humiliate himself in front of his guests. He swears that he will tear them apart if they continue to humiliate him. He is interrupted by his servant, who tells him that his master has received a message from one of the guests. The master told Hal that he knew who the murderer was and that Hal could not live with him forever. Hal is shocked and says that he cannot live with his master.
