It's morning, and Shu is still in bed. He tells the housekeeper that he has a gift for her: a dressmaker from France will design her own evening dress for a business meeting that's going to take place in the middle of the month. The housekeeper tells Shu that she'll be able to dance at the party because she's so pretty in the dress. Shu says that he's ordered dresses for two girls, and that if Shu doesn't get up, he'll just design the dress for her.
