In this chapter, the narrator reflects on his relationship with Yonhap. He tells Yonhap that he wants to give Yonhap a chance to live with him. Yonhap, he says, has been thinking about it ever since they first met. He asks Yonhap if it would be okay for them to live together at the university, and Yonhap says that he has friends with hearing, so he knows that Yonhap's family will be interested in the idea of them living together. The narrator says he's going to tell Yonhap good luck and that he'll be working out of the house Yonhap shares with his deaf friend. He's worried that his parents will disapprove of him, but Yonhap assures him that they'll approve of him as well. He says he has a boy friend, and he wonders how his friends will react to Yonhap living with him
